The March Break Camp is a 5 day camp for 30-35 campers age 6-11. The camp program is designed to help kids develop compassion and respect for all living things. Counselors will lead groups of 8-10 children and work alongside 1-2 volunteer Junior Counselors. We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about animals and the humane relationship between people and animals. This position is ideal for those who; Enjoy working in a fast paced environment; Thrive in a team environment; Are flexible, open minded and organized; Have good communication skills; and Passionate about animal welfare. Key Responsibilities Supervise a group of 8-10 campers; Assist camp supervisor and to organize and deliver activities; Follow scheduled list of daily activities, keeping a group of campers focused, having fun, on track and on time; Maintain positive relations and communication with parents/guardians and campers. Required Key Skills, Experience and Behaviors: 16 years of age or older at the start of volunteer placement; Previous experience working or volunteering with children ages 6-11.
